How tough is the rough?

I’ve been doing this for years, but I haven’t lately.Screen shot 2014-08-05 at 12.20.54 PM

Here’s a shot of a $20 bill in the rough. This is to the left of No. 1 fairway, approximately in the landing area from the tee. I did my best to push the $20 to the ground. This was shot on Tuesday morning.

I asked Roger Meier if he was happy with where the rough is. He seemed satisfied. The plan is to mow it on Wednesday at 3, maybe 3.25 inches, and let it go through the weekend.
