Alright friends, it’s time to start checking through your office, home or anywhere else you keep old issues of Golfdom.

Thanks to the help from our friends at Michigan State University’s Turfgrass Information Center (TIC) we have been able to bring a little of our history to you in the form of The Golfdom Files. From their database of our magazines we have printed nine articles from five different decades since we introduced the page in last year’s September issue.

Mike Schury, manager at the TIC, and his staff have helped us out so much, and he is calling in a favor that involves our loyal readers. Of the more than 750 issues of Golfdom ever printed the database has close to 99 percent available for anyone to read, but they are looking to fill that last one percent.

If you own a copy of a Golfdom listed below and you would be able to temporarily part with it, the folks at the TIC would like to get in contact with you.

April 2009
May/June 1999
April 1999
March 1999
September 1976 (as Golf Business)
January 1928
April 1927
March 1927
January 1927

We understand you might be pretty attached to your 1920s Golfdom magazines or even the April 2009 issue — we aren’t here to steal from you guys. If you do not want to part with your copy they can be returned to you.

For more information on how to submit a Golfdom magazine to the TIC, Mike can be reached at schurymi@mail.lib.msu.edu.
