PHILADELPHIA—FMC Professional Solutions, a business unit of FMC Corp., has received registration from the State of Hawaii for the sale and use of Dismiss turf herbicide, Dismiss South herbicide and Blindside herbicide. All three can be used on bermudagrass and other warm-season turfgrasses.

Dismiss herbicide controls yellow nutsedge and green kyllinga in as little as 24 to 48 hours in warm and cool-season turf. It attacks sedges at the surface for quick visible control, while also controlling tubers. This dual action helps prevent future sedge outbreaks and the need for retreats. Dismiss is available in 6- and 64-oz. (pictured) containers.
For turf managers also fighting purple nutsedge, Dismiss South herbicide achieves fast, visible results against purple netsedge, yellow nutsedge and green kyllinga in warm-season turf, the company says. Dismiss South is available in 16-oz. containers.

When tank mixed with Revolver herbicide from Bayer Environmental Science, both Dismiss and Dismiss South achieve excellent control of goosegrass, according to FMC Professional Solutions.

Blindside herbicide is a new, fast-acting herbicide for challenging postemergence weeds like doveweed, dollarweed, buttonweed and sedges in warm-season turf, even St. Augustinegrass. It works through both foliar and root uptake to deliver quick control of more than 70 broadleaf weeds and sedges, according to the company.

Dismiss, Dismiss South and Blindside are available through Crop Production Services (CPS), Hawaii Grower Products and Pacific Agriculture distributors.
