GCSAA announces Board of Directors candidates for 2025
The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) revealed the members who will appear on its 2025 Board of Directors ballot ahead of its 2025 Annual Meeting on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025.
The ballot will include the following:
For President:
- T.A. Barker, CGCS (Current GCSAA Vice President)
For Vice President:
- Paul L. Carter, CGCS (Current GCSAA Secretary/Treasurer)
For Secretary/Treasurer:
- Marc E. Weston, CGCS
- Steven J. Hammon
Six members are on the slate to fill three open director positions:
- H. Scott Griffith, CGCS
- Gregory B. Jones, CGCS, MG
- Renee Geyer, CGCS
- Ryan Kraushofer, CGCS
- Brandon Razo
- Brian J. Roth, CGCS
There are two open director positions for two-year terms, with Griffith and Jones’ terms expiring. According to GCSAA, if Hammon is not elected to the Secretary/Treasurer position, he will need to run from the floor for an open director position to remain on the board. If Weston is elected to the Secretary/Treasurer position, then a third person will need to be elected to fulfill the one remaining on his term.
Douglas D. Dykstra, CGCS, has announced his intention to resign from the board, effective as of the 2025 Annual Meeting, to have a greater focus on personal priorities. He has served on the board since 2020 and the Foundation board of Trustees since 2024. Dykstra is currently in the middle of a two-year term, and the GCSAA thanks him for his service.
The remaining year of Dykstra’s term will placed on the ballot.
Jeff L. White, CGCS, will serve on the board as the immediate past president for one year. Kevin P. Breen, CGCS, will retire from the board after serving last year as the immediate past president.
