FMC supported GCSAA Foundation’s Disaster Relief Program with a $25,000 donation and will provide dollar-for-dollar matching gifts for the 2022 Giving Tuesday Campaign up to a grand total of $25,000.

FMC says its donation will help the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) to provide immediate financial assistance to its members who have suffered personal loss from natural disasters.

“GCSAA has a dozen chapters throughout Florida representing nearly 2,000 members. Programs like the GCSAA Disaster Relief Fund are really needed after devastating events like Hurricane Ian,” Mike Sisti, North America marketing manager for Professional Solutions at FMC, said. “FMC is proud to contribute to the responsive effort and to support GCSAA members in need. The Giving Tuesday Campaign on November 29 is a great opportunity for GCSAA members and others in the industry to take advantage of FMC’s pledge and double the impact of their gifts.”

In 2006, in reaction to Hurricane Katrina, GCSAA established the Disaster Relief Fund to assist GCSAA members who suffered personal loss. The fund serves as a resource for members who face tragedy caused by natural disasters, and in 2020 those affected by COVID-19 also became eligible to receive relief funds.

In addition to the Disaster Relief Donation, FMC also supports local GCSAA chapters through the FMC Give Back to Local Chapters program. Since its inception in 2020, the program has donated nearly $100,000 directly to local chapters. FMC will deliver the latest round of Give Back checks, totaling an additional $5,000, at local chapter meetings.
