Envu’s Resilia root health solution now available in Hawaii

Envu’s Resilia root health solution, introduced in 2023, is now available for purchase in Hawaii. Resilia root health solution protects roots from destructive soilborne pathogens for up to 21 days and most up to 28 days, allowing the opportunity for a more robust root system, according to the company.

“The key to healthy turf starts below the surface,” said Mark Brotherton, product manager for Envu Turf and Ornamentals. “With that foundational goal in mind, Envu developed Resilia root health solution, the first, all-in-one root health solution that was exclusively developed for soilborne root disease control. Golf course superintendents can rest easy knowing roots are protected when they incorporate Resilia root health solution into their plant protection program.”

Many turf pathogens lurking below the surface, including those responsible for causing take-all root rot, Pythium root rot, mini ring, fairy ring and nematode damage, can destroy greens and fairways in short order. This is especially true during the shoulder seasons when bermudagrass greens aren’t growing enough to fight off these pathogens.

“Resilia root health solution is the only product that offers simultaneous control of patch diseases, Pythium diseases and suppression of pathogenic nematodes,” said Zac Reicher, Ph.D., Green Solutions Team specialist for Envu. “The solution is not meant to be a total replacement for other products, but it can integrate seamlessly into any program as a preventative maintenance application.”

Resilia root health solution has been proven effective in controlling soilborne pathogens, one of the toughest threats to turf health.

“Starting the season strong with a product such as Resilia root health solution is crucial to getting ahead of the many issues that can cause turf to decline,” said Jim Kerns, Ph.D., professor and Extension specialist of turfgrass pathology for North Carolina State University. “We have seen this firsthand with our trials.”

The solution controls major root diseases in warm-season turf, allowing roots to stay healthy and reach their full potential. According to the company, Resilia root health solution is easy to apply and works well in tandem with Stressgard brand fungicides, which improves plant health above ground.
