Eagle One Golf acquires Western Golf

By |  November 6, 2013

Eagle One Golf announced today the acquisition of Western Golf. Western Golf, headquartered in Palm Springs, Calif., is a leading manufacturer and distributor of golf course equipment and golf course accessories. Western Golf’s products are sold to thousands of golf courses throughout North America and 38 countries around the world.

“The addition of Western Golf to our portfolio of companies, which now includes Eagle One Golf, Fore-Par Group, and Golf Supply House (which operates in the Canadian market) will help broaden our product offerings to better serve our customers,” said Paul Cherrie, president and CEO of Eagle One Golf. “The customer base and product lines are extremely complimentary.”

Golfdom reported on the acquisition of Eagle One Golf by Canadian-based company Golf Supply Warehouse in June of 2012. Eagle One’s acquisition of Fore-Par was reported in December of 2012.

Western Golf is a third generation business headed by Bob Wagner. “Bob is an extremely experienced golf executive, and will continue to play a key role in the combined companies going forward,” Cherrie said.

The current Western Golf factory and distribution center in Palm Springs will continue to operate in the near term, but longer term is expected to be folded into the existing Eagle One Golf infrastructure.

“We’re thrilled to be a part of the Eagle One Golf team, as it will give us access to resources not previously enjoyed, to help drive the growth of the Western Golf brand,” Wagner said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
