Davey Golf, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Co., has entered into a five-year contract with Turkey Creek Golf to operate and maintain the Turkey Creek Golf and Country Club in Alachua, Fla.

Davey, which has decades of experience in course operations according to the company, runs numerous golf courses throughout the U.S. Under the contract, Davey Golf will be responsible for the management and care of the 18-hole course and assumes the operation of the clubhouse and golf shop.

“Davey is excited to begin our partnership with the residents of Turkey Creek,” said Zach Young, business manager, Davey Golf. “We understand that Turkey Creek is more than a place to play golf. It’s an extension of people’s homes and a reflection of the community. Davey is proud to bring its leadership to Turkey Creek, and we look forward to enhancing the conditions and service standards at the course through our expert landscape management practices and exceptional client experience.”

Renovation is nearly complete on the 18-hole, 72-par course featuring an expanded practice facility opened in December 2019. As part of the contract, Davey will provide all necessary equipment to maintain the course, including all mowers and trimmers, merchandise for the club shop and golf carts.

Turkey Creek is a private neighborhood located roughly 12 miles from downtown Gainesville, Fla. The course is currently owned by the Turkey Creek Master Owners Association.
