Water Oak Country Club and Estates in Lady Lake, Fla., has opened its newly renovated golf course to community residents and the public. The course recently received USGA accreditation as a championship course and is part of a larger multi-million-dollar revitalization project for the community.

Sanford Ferris Golf Design designed the course to highlight the site’s unique characteristics, incorporating dozens of mature oak trees, rolling hills and bodies of water into the course. The par-70 course features 70 feet of vertical change and a 6,100-yard layout. Construction began in January 2022, and the course remained closed throughout the project.

“As the beautiful game of golf is shared across generations, we look forward to how our newly renovated golf course can be a point of connection for Water Oak Country Club and Estates residents,” said Bob Cooke, director of golf at Water Oak CC. “The course’s natural beauty and emphasis on accessibility provide the perfect opportunity for golfers of all ages and expertise to come together for a game of golf with friends, family or fellow residents.”
