Golf course developer and construction company Landscapes Unlimited completed the installation of a new, state-of-the-art irrigation system throughout the 18-hole South Course at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md.

Collaborating with EC Design, Landscapes Unlimited said its installation of the wall-to-wall irrigation system optimizes precise location watering and more efficient water management to improve turf health and playing conditions.

Landscapes Unlimited said its work is a key component of a major South Course enhancement project from tee to green and overseen by Ryan Severidt, director of golf courses and grounds operations at Woodmont Country Club and David Dorn, director of golf.

“Irrigation installation may be invisible to Woodmont members, but contributes mightily to enjoyable experiences on the links,” Dana Grode, project manager of Landscapes Unlimited, said.  “It’s also rewarding when maintenance staff can rely on the labor, water usage and financial benefits of a new system that’s properly designed and installed.”

The facility offers a double-sided, grass driving range with a practice fairway bunker, a strong short-game area, an indoor putting studio and more.
