Course of the Week: Julington Creek Golf Club

Westscapes Golf Course Construction began renovating the courses at Julington Creek Golf Club in Jacksonville, Fla., in January.

The crew started with minor irrigation improvements in January and continued through mid-May with a few course bunker renovations. Major construction consisting of the demolition and coring of the greens began in mid-May.

Other renovations in the project include:
• A larger practice putting green
• Tee box renovation
• Driving range tee rebuild and enhancements
• Tree and sod work
• Enhancing golf course aesthetics

The course is set to reopen after this major renovation on Oct. 1, 2022.

Julington Creek also plans on continuing renovations to the course. Later projects include:
• Cart path improvements
• Bridge and irrigation updates
• Building and parking lot updates
