Grande Dunes Resort Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C., has reopened following a greens, bunkers and clubhouse renovation project.

Renovations to the course consisted of:

  • Installation of new Capillary Concrete bunker liners
  • A fairway expansion of eight acres
  • New Tifeagle greens
  • Restoration of the course’s putting surfaces to their original size
  • The return of the bunkers to their original shape and contours

The Grande Dunes clubhouse also underwent construction and received a new restaurant, an expansion of outdoor seating and a larger pro shop.

“Watching the project come together over the last four months has been a treat. The course is in pristine condition, and we look forward to welcoming golfers back to Grande Dunes,” Steve Mays, president of Founders Group International.

Architect John A. Harvey, who worked with Roger Rulewich on the design and construction of the course in 2001, lead the four-month project.
