Help is here for golf clubs striving to be more environmentally conscious. Last month, the Club Managers Association of America, in conjunction with experts from the Scotland-based Golf Environment Organization, released a sustainability manual to guide clubs interested in taking a green approach to club operations.

The how-to guide helps golf course managers plan, perform and document environmental improvements they make to their golf courses, covering everything from water, energy and environmental quality issues to landscapes and ecosystems. “It’s a 360 approach to looking at the golf course,” said Melissa Low, senior director of CMAA Communications and Government Relations.
