Architectural Testing has recently released the NRC, STC and wind load test results for Acoustical Solutions’ AcoustiWood Noise Barrier Fence System. The NRC and STC ratings indicate the system will block up to 31 decibels from transferring through it (STC) and will absorb 100 percent of the sound waves with which it comes into contact (NRC). In addition, the noise barrier does not fail when faced with wind speeds in excess of 130 mph. AcoustiWood fences are economical, lightweight wooden post-and-panel systems developed specifically to reduce noise levels — including highway and industrial noise — in residential and commercial areas. Finishes include “dog ear” fencing, lattice, vinyl, metal and stucco.
