Quali-Pro hires Matt Shoemaker as field representative in Mid-South

Control Solutions Inc. (CSI) announced the appointment of Matt Shoemaker as field representative for the Mid-South region for the Quali-Pro division.

Matt began his career on the operations side of agricultural chemical distribution and has worked with several leading T&O distributors throughout his career, including Agrium, Harrell’s, WinField and Heritage Landscape Supply. His experience has taken him from working on the warehouse floor to operations management, category management and ultimately to regional agronomic manager with Heritage Landscape Supply.

Matt’s passion for turf and ornamentals has grown throughout his career. Early on, he made a point of learning from distributor and manufacturing representatives, describing himself as a “sponge” for the knowledge and experience they shared. He eventually began taking products home and applying what he was learning to his own lawn. What started as professional curiosity developed into a genuine personal passion for turf and plant health, which Matt jokingly describes as becoming a ‘LawnCare nut.’ That passion continues to drive his commitment to learning and is one of the reasons he is currently pursuing a master of science in plant health management.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to bring my experience and passion for the turf and ornamental industry to Quali-Pro,” said Shoemaker. “I’ve spent the last 16 years learning this business from a lot of different perspectives, and I’m looking forward to using that experience to help our customers and distribution partners find practical solutions and grow their businesses.”

Matt lives in Montgomery, Texas, with his wife of 16 years, Brooke, and their two daughters, Aubree and Whitley. Outside of work, he enjoys playing and watching golf and following his favorite teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Astros, LSU Tigers and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
