Longtime Kalo president Chuck Champion retires after 38 years; Jonathan Barrett promoted
Kalo Inc., supplier of specialty adjuvants and biological technologies for the agricultural, seed care and professional turf markets, shared that Chuck Champion will retire at the end of the first quarter of 2026, concluding a 38-year career with the company, including 30 years as president.

“Serving Kalo for nearly four decades has been the privilege of my career,” says Champion. “What makes this company special is the integrity of its people and the trust we’ve earned from customers across agriculture, turf and ornamental markets. I’m proud of what we’ve built together and confident that Kalo’s best chapters are still ahead.”
As part of the leadership transition, Jonathan Barrett will be promoted to president of Kalo, effective upon Champion’s retirement. Barrett has held senior commercial and strategy leadership roles within the organization and has worked closely with Champion on long-term growth initiatives.
During Champion’s tenure, Kalo strengthened its position as a trusted developer of adjuvants and application technologies, expanded key relationships across distribution and manufacturing, and continued investing in product stewardship and field support.

“Chuck’s leadership consistently put customers and partners first, setting a standard that has shaped Kalo’s reputation for reliability and results,” Barrett says. “I am honored to carry that legacy forward. Our focus will remain on helping growers and distributors achieve more with their inputs — through practical innovation, disciplined execution, and the service our partners count on.”
