Two members of Augusta National’s maintenance team meticulously mow a green with Jacobsen walk-behind mowers. One southern superintendent we saw joked that, “those greens are mowed down so tight, they’re just guessing on the lines at this point!” (Photo: Seth Jones)

A train of Toro Reelmaster 3550-D fairway mowers move up the sidewalk between No. 11 and No. 14. One of the security guards told me, “Buddy, you just missed the best photo of these guys all mowing together!” Little did he know that the mowers were circling back … (Photo: Seth Jones)

The fairway mowers purr like kittens as they roll up No. 18 fairway on Wednesday afternoon. While most Masters patrons are enjoying the Par Three tournament, patrons who stay on the golf course get to enjoy the beauty of the maintenance team at work. (Photo: Seth Jones)

Seeing the grounds crew make a sweep across Amen Corner should be a bucket list item for any golf maintenance professional … some of the best holes in golf, being quickly cared for by some of the best in the business. (Photo: Seth Jones)
