LAKE FOREST, CALIF.—Underhill International has acquired Grund Guide, a firm that designs and manufactures yardage markers for golf courses.

Based in San Rafael, Calif., Grund Guide has been in business since 1987 and has supplied thousands of golf courses with sprinkler-top yardage markers and other golf course guides. Company President John Grund will remain active during the transition, working as a consultant to Underhill.

Along with sprinkler head yardage markers, the new division will produce fairway, tee and range markers, along with cart path markers.

“This is an excellent opportunity to expand our business operations with products that complement our golf accessories line,” says Ed Underhill, president of Underhill International. “Grund Guide has a long-standing history of producing sprinkler head yardage markers that are compatible with all the top irrigation brands and which deliver years of performance.

“Expanding the Underhill product line will provide new benefits to our customers, both domestically and at the international level. We look forward to working with John and continuing to build our brand as key suppliers to the golf course accessories market,” he adds.
