Troon Privé, the private club division of Troon, has been selected to manage operations at The Club at Crested Butte, a semi-private mountain club located at the base of Mt. Crested Butte in Colorado. The announcement comes as more golf and lifestyle clubs seek experienced third-party partners to meet rising member expectations.

The club, known for its 18-hole Robert Trent Jones II-designed championship course at 9,000 feet elevation, has consistently received high marks from publications such as Golf Digest, which named it among Colorado’s best places to play. The 7,208-yard, par-72 course is matched by year-round amenities that include fitness, aquatics, tennis, pickleball and Nordic skiing facilities. In winter, a ski-in/ski-out clubhouse at Crested Butte Mountain Resort offers ski valet, locker storage and après ski options exclusively to members.

Troon Privé will oversee not only golf and hospitality operations, but also agronomy, food and beverage and membership services. The company’s experience managing private and semi-private clubs in high-demand markets is expected to further refine member engagement and service consistency.

David Stinson, Troon’s vice president of operations, said the focus would be on enhancing member programs and delivering consistent service. General Manager Brad Bogard echoed the sentiment, citing alignment in vision and the opportunity to elevate the club’s performance across all departments.

This addition reflects a broader trend in the golf industry, where clubs are investing in premium experiences, particularly in unique locations such as mountain destinations. Troon now operates more than 850 locations globally, continuing to grow its presence in the experience-driven club space.
