Prophesy fungicide now available in Canada

By |  April 22, 2011

Andersons Turf & Specialty Group reports that it has received approval to sell its Prophesy fungicide in Canada. The fungicide contains propiconazole, which the group says makes it good to use in snow mold and control programs. It adds that Prophesy’s small particle size (SGN 100) makes it appropriate for use on golf course greens and low-cut bentgrass fairways.

Prophesy disperses upon contact with any form of water, including rain and dew. As a result, Andersons states, less of the fungicide is likely to get lost in mowing. Andersons also claims Prophesy prevents and controls turf diseases such as dollar spot, brown patch, anthracnose and rust.
