Nolan Ryan speaking at the IA Show? Cool!

By |  September 3, 2013

The 2013 Irrigation Show takes place Nov. 4-8 in Austin, Texas. I won’t be attending this year, but North Coast Media will have representation there — Landscape Management editor-in-chief Marisa Palmieri will be there along with LM’s publisher, Bill Roddy.

I’ll have to ask Marisa to stop by and see what Nolan Ryan has to say at the IA’s general session. I’m sure it won’t have much to do with irrigation, and I wouldn’t want it to. But I’d love to hear a few amusing anecdotes and lessons learned from the guy with seven career no-hitters and seven right hooks into Robin Ventura’s face.

They’ll also have Javier Colon, winner of Season One of “The Voice,” performing in concert. I’m pretty sure I watched that show (the one with Cee-Lo, right?) and would recognize Colon if I heard him.

They’ve got Austin as a location, Nolan Ryan as a speaker and a free concert? Plus, there are three Whataburger locations nearby, as well as a Doobie Brothers concert in town that week?

Sounds like the Irrigation Association might just get it — they’ve already got a good show, and now they’ve added some interesting entertainment into the mix!

Marisa, let’s talk trade!
