I had the pleasure of playing some golf last week at Indigo Lakes GC in Daytona Beach, Fla., where Brad Keith is the superintendent. He and his staff are clearly doing a great job, and I’d like to thank Brad again for being such an accommodating host. I’m missing the course even more now that I’m back in Kansas and it’s snowing (again) today! Plus, they had a nice special on Yuengling there… sigh.

I teed it up with a couple Penn Staters: John Kaminski, Ph.D., and Mike Fidanza, Ph.D. It wasn’t all play — we discussed and took some photos of turf problems and we also got some nice Golfdom TV videos done as well. Plus, just hanging around with these guys is a learning experience for me. Well worth the time.

For now, here’s a photo or two of Indigo Lakes. Coming tomorrow, I’ll have one of the videos ready to share as well… on the timely topic of winterkill!

And thanks again to John and Mike for their time, insights and camaraderie last week!
