Golfweather.com Launches in U.S.

Golfweather.com, a free online weather forecast service for golf courses, is now tracking up-to-the-minute weather conditions at more than 16,000 United States golf courses. South African entrepreneur Moshe Adir, who has been involved in online ventures for 14 years, thought up the idea. Golfweather.com offers accurate and real-time forecasts highlighting temperature; wind speed and direction; comfort level; and chance of rain.

“We gather raw weather data from renowned meteorological organizations and use my own forecast algorithms and weather models to provide longitude and latitude location-based forecasts for each golf club in the U.S. and around the world, which results in an incredibly accurate picture of what the weather is going to be like there on any given day,” Adir stated in a news release. “Our detailed forecast is broken down into three hourly segments for 5 a.m., 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to give the golfer an understanding of when best to tee off.”

To see the weather updates, golfers can search by golf course or location on Golfweather.com, which lists conditions, temperatures, precipitation, chance of rain and an overall playability rating.
