Golf Channel marks Veterans Day with special on Patriot Cup

In honor of Veterans Day, Golf Channel premiered a one-hour special about the Patriot Cup this week and will continue to air it multiple times through Nov. 14.

Hosted by Rich Lerner, the show features footage from the Patriot Cup tournament, held on Memorial Day weekend at the Patriot Golf Course in Owasso, Okla. The invitational tournament paired 27 professional golfers with military members to raise funds for military families through the Folds of Honor Foundation, a charitable organization that provides educational scholarships for children and spouses of wounded and fallen military service people.

The special features highlight reels from the tournament, including play by Rickie Fowler, Tom Lehman, Hunter Mahan, Corey Pavin and Peter Jacobsen. The show intersperses tournament action with feature stories from Folds of Honor scholarship recipients and showcases the Folds of Honor Foundation, Patriot Golf Course and the golfers who committed their time to the cause.
