Nemitol fumigant has an organic status (Washington State Department of Agriculture), 4-hour restricted entry interval (REI), no physical turf damage, setbacks, buffer zones, or notification requirements, and minimal personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements for operators. A recent trial by the University of Florida IFAS Extension at a premier Florida golf club revealed significant declines in the Lance and Sting nematode populations when Nemitol was boom sprayed four times at weekly intervals.
