By |  December 19, 2011

The National Alliance for Accessible Golf (Alliance) is partnering with the Penn State Global Accessibility Initiative (GAI) and the Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA) to offer the Accessible Golf Certificate. The certificate program training will be offered January 24-25, 2012 at the Walt Disney World Osprey Ridge Golf Course in Orlando, Fla.

The certificate is designed for LPGA/PGA professionals, allied health professionals and other individuals interested in learning more about accessible golf and inclusive programming. The training will provide the resources to encourage inclusive golf learning environments for people with disabilities. LPGA and PGA professionals completing the comprehensive, two-day training will earn 16 PGA MSRs or eight LPGA CUs.

According to Alliance President Betsy Clark, Ph.D., “Our purpose and intention is to blend our organizations’ expertise and resources to train LPGA/PGA professionals and allied health specialists in bringing people with disabilities into the game of golf and to understand how to develop effective inclusive golf programs.”
