Envu is hosting “Staying Ahead of Foliar Diseases: Do’s, Don’ts and Proven Programs,” a free educational webinar on June 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. EST.

Hosted by James Hempfling, Ph.D., and Jesse Benelli, Ph.D., the webinar will provide golf course superintendents with practical, field-tested strategies for managing foliar disease amid increasingly volatile weather conditions. Sharply contrasting weather is disrupting turf development, giving golf superintendents a smaller window to manage early-season foliar diseases, according to the company.

“With so many environmental stressors already impacting golf courses this season, it’s easy for disease management programs to shift from proactive to reactive,” said Hempfling. “During this presentation, Jesse and I will share simple, effective strategies to help superintendents stay focused on evidence-based, field-tested chemical and cultural approaches to foliar disease control, even under challenging conditions.”

Together, Hempfling and Benelli bring more than 45 years of experience in the turf industry, with a track record of projects spanning nearly every region across the U.S. and Canada.

“Today, through our work with the Envu Green Solutions Team, we partner closely with superintendents to develop and refine fungicide programs, building on both hands-on industry experience as well as our years spent in academia conducting applied turf disease management research,” said Benelli.
