ID-100190330World Golf Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed to develop and support initiatives that help grow the game of golf and its traditional values, has launched a new website designed to increase women’s golf participation, www.GolfForHer.com.

The website, unveiled at the PGA Merchandise Show, is a collaboration between the World Golf Foundation and other major entities in golf. Contributors include the LPGA, the PGA of America, The PGA TOUR, the USGA, the Executive Women’s Golf Association and Golf Digest.

“The ‘Golf For Her’ website is an engaging tool to introduce new and encourage new and existing female players by showcasing the fun, networking and lifestyle aspects of the game,” says Steve Mona, CEO of World Golf Foundation. “We strive to make it an innovative and appealing content aggregator for women golfers to visit and refer to others.”

Features of the website include individual sections for new, recreational and competitive players and juniors. An aggregate of information on women’s networking opportunities, golf outings and charity events across the country will be available as well as the rules of the game, etiquette and equipment.

“This is a place where women golfers can find answers to their questions,” says Stacy Lewis, No. 1 player in women’s golf and GolfForHer.com launch ambassador. “We’re all so quick to jump on the Internet these days for answers, so this site makes perfect sense. Anything we can do to get more women into the game and to help them be more comfortable on the course is great.”
