The Liquid Approach

SePRO debuts Cutless MEC, a liquid formulation of Cutless turf growth regulator.

SePRO Corp. is now offering its Cutless Turf Growth Regulator (TGR) technology in an easy-to-use liquid formulation, known as Cutless MEC (Micro Emulsion Concentrate). The new formulation will allow golf course superintendents greater flexibility and precision when measuring specific application doses on greens, tees and fairways for Poa annua conversion and optimum growth regulation, the company says.

“A liquid formulation of Cutless has been a standing request of top superintendents who are utilizing the Cutless 50W technology in their turf maintenance program," said B. Todd Bunnell, Ph.D., SePRO's golf market manager. "Cutless MEC will be a valued addition to a superintendent’s TGR toolbox that is looking to reduce Poa annua populations on greens, tees, fairways, and other areas.

The new MEC formulation of Cutless was a technology breakthrough made by the formulation labs at SePRO’s Research and Technology Campus (SRTC) located in Whitakers, N.C. Many years of formulation development and subsequent field evaluations were performed at the SRTC to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the MEC formulation, according to the company.

Cutless MEC is the latest addition to SePRO's turf growth regulator portfolio, which includes Cutless 50W and Legacy TGRs. Cutless MEC will be sold in both 2.5- and 1-gallon containers through SePRO’s PGR distribution network.
