New on the Golf Industry Show trade show floor this year are four spreaders from long-time maker Spyker, which for the last nine years has been owned by the Jeffersonville, Ind.-based Brinly-Hardy Co.

There’s the SPY50-1P Broadcast Spreader, a 50-pound unit with a powder-coated frame, the 100-pound Spy100-1S, an ice melt spreader, and two new 80-pound broadcast spreaders, the stainless steel-framed Spy80-1S and it’s powder-coated twin, the Spy80-1P.

The units, which according to Spyker’s Tom Zinninger have been in development for two years, feature adjustable handles to reduce fatigue, a patented system for spread pattern control, redesigned hoppers and metal gears with a lifetime warranty.

Of course, if you want to see them, hurry. Word’s spreading fast.
