Profile Products recently completed the final phase of a year-long upgrade to processing equipment at its Blue Mountain, Miss., manufacturing facility.

This major investment allows the company continued expansion of production capacity and flexibility in its product mix, further enhancing its leadership position in the sports turf, golf and agriculture markets. The company, which manufactures a comprehensive line of ceramic particles, is widely known for its Turface brand of sports field conditioners.

“We are extremely happy with the results of this project and are pleased to be able to add more capacity and flexibility to our Blue Mountain production facility to meet the needs of a wide variety of customers,” said John Schoch, president and CEO of Profile Products. “Through this investment, we are able to expand our business, and continue to produce the highest quality products in the market. Exceeding our customers’ expectations remains our primary objective.”

The upgrades were completed without any unscheduled downtime at the plant, and were done with a close eye on safety throughout the process. The manufacturing facility recently celebrated one million consecutive safe hours without a lost time accident.

“It has been a long, but smooth process, and I’m proud of the efforts of everyone at our plant,” said Dwight Schipke, director of manufacturing operations at the Blue Mountain site. “We haven’t missed a beat from a production standpoint or, most importantly, in our service to customers. We have already seen tremendous capabilities with our new equipment.”
