PBI-Gordon’s Kabuto Fungicide SC available for US purchase

Kabuto-pbi-gordonPBI-Gordon Corporation’s Kabuto Fungicide SC is approved for purchase in the U.S., according to a news release from the company. Kabuto, a liquid formulation of the active ingredient isofetamid, is designed to provide preventive and curative dollar spot control.

“This is big news for PBI-Gordon and for the industry,” says Jim Goodrich, product manager for fungicides, insecticides and plant growth regulators at PBI-Gordon. “Dollar Spot is one of the most prevalent and expensive diseases in turf, and Kabuto gives lawn care professionals and golf course supers an effective new tool to fight it.”

PBI-Gordon has partnered with ISK Biosciences Corporation of Concord, Ohio, a subsidy of Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha Ltd. of Osaka, Japan, in the production, sales and distribution of the product to the professional turf management industry.

“The successes of Segway, Katana and now Kabuto are testament to the strength of the ISKBC-PBI-Gordon partnership,” says Tom Hoffman, senior vice president and general manager for PBI-Gordon. ““I’m confident Kabuto will have a positive impact on the professional turf industry.”

PBI-Gordon currently markets ISKBC products Segway Fungicide SC and Katana Turf Herbicide.
