PBI-Gordon introduces new Tekken fungicide

After receiving EPA approval in the fall, PBI-Gordon’s Tekken broad spectrum fungicide is now available for sale.

Approved for use on golf course greens, tees and fairways only, Tekken features one convenient rate to control dollar spot. It also can be used to treat anthracnose, brown patch and 18 more problematic diseases for cool- and warm-season turf.

Tekken’s dual mode of action — through its proprietary blend of active ingredients isofetamid and tebuconazole — provides preventative, systemic control for up to 28 days per application. Its formulation delivers increased turf quality, and reduces phytotoxicity and thinning of creeping bentgrass, when compared to stand-alone DMI applications, the company said.

A FRAC Group 7 + 3 flowable suspension concentrate, it should be used in a regularly scheduled preventative spray program and rotated with products that have different modes of action.
