DuPont Professional Products says two years of university data reveals that one application of DuPont Acelepryn liquid turf insecticide at the lowest grub control label rate has the added benefit of providing residual control of caterpillars.

When applied using the grub control rate at 8 fluid ounces an acre, Acelepryn provides an average of 97.6 percent control of fall armyworm and black cutworm when evaluated 12 to 18 weeks after treatment, according to the research.

"One application of Acelepryn lasted all summer long and took away my worry of treating the greens every month for cutworm," said Jim Evans, superintendent at The Dormie Club in Pinehurst, N.C., in a press release issued by DuPont. "One application in the spring is a no-brainer; it saves a bundle in time, which is key when you have a small crew of five guys trying to build and maintain a course."
