Floratine has appointed Paul Ramina as its new corporate agronomist.

Ramina joins the Floratine team following a long career in the golf industry, including more than 20 years as a superintendent. During his tenure, Ramina delivered tournament-level course conditions for several U.S. golf courses and has hosted four PGA Tour and five LPGA events.

Ramina holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Towson University and a degree in golf course management from the Institute of Applied Agriculture at the University of Maryland. He says moving to Floratine was a natural progression.

“I’ve worked closely with Floratine representatives through the years to develop strong turfgrass management programs,” Ramina says. “I’m excited to visit peers and ‘give back’ through sharing my experiences with the Floratine line and the proven results they bring to turfgrass professionals.”

As corporate agronomist, Ramina will be working with customers to evaluate their turfgrass and soil conditions to help them develop the most optimal nutrition programs available, according to Kevin Cavanaugh, Floratine’s CEO.

“As a superintendent and director at world-renowned golf courses, Paul knows a lot about the science that goes into managing a golf course and turfgrass,” Cavanaugh says. “He’s been a longtime partner of Floratine, and we’re honored to have him aboard.”
