Congrats Koepka, and congrats Grizzly winner(s)!

Thank you, PGA Championship. Sunday at Bellerive was a blast to watch!

Tiger was charging from the moment he arrived at Bellerive with his hat on backwards (something I saw one other time at Bellerive, by a course employee, and it warranted a scolding from Carlos Arraya… after all, this is Bellerive!) Adam Scott looked dialed in and ready to win with birdies on 10, 12 and 13. And of course the golf course looked immaculate (great work, maintenance team!)

But no one looked better than Brooks Koepka, smashing drives right down the middle and dropping two big birdies on No. 15 and No. 16, never looking back.

Back-to-back U.S. Opens? Two majors in the same season?

The Masters and the Open Championship are on alert.

But there were more winners beyond Koepka and the maintenance crew. There are also the winners of the Golfdom PGA Championship contests, sponsored by our friends at John Deere!

The PGA Championship “pick the winner + score” contest became what I believe to be our biggest contest ever, with more than 270 people entering picks. The grand prize: a John Deere-themed 40-quart Grizzly cooler (retail value: $400.)

And wouldn’t you know it… we had a tie! Miles Carson (via Facebook) and Seth Smith (via Twitter) both predicted Brooks Koepka would win… and both came real close to nailing it right on the number when they guessed the winning score at 15-under (Koepka carded 16-under, a PGA Championship record by a stroke.) Overall 14 people picked Koepka, but only Miles and Seth were within one stroke of the correct score.

So what do we do? A tie breaker? Make these guys duke it out over the results of the Wyndham Championship?

No. John Deere has graciously provided a second cooler to give away. So congrats Miles and Seth — you’re both getting Grizzly coolers!

And while we’re at it, let’s give away the rest of our PGA Championship gear, to a couple contest winners and a few randomly selected awesome people who were interacting with us on social media during the tournament. They are:

Justen Patterson (Caption contest winner)
Wally Gresham (Caption contest winner)
@Seeds_McGrass (Favorite Deere machine question winner)
Devon Carroll (Favorite Deere machine question winner)
Mason Whitehead, CGCS (Favorite Deere machine question winner)
Greg Hollins (Favorite Deere machine question winner)
Laura B. (Favorite Deere machine question winner)
Rob Uzar (Shout-out to a volunteer)
David McAlpine (picked Koepka at -14, so close!)
Ty Marshall (picked Koepka at -13, worthy of a PGA Championship hat)

If you’re one of the winners listed, please DM your mailing address on Twitter or Facebook. Or email Seth Jones (sjones@northcoastmedia.net) or Abby Hart (ahart@northcoastmedia.net).

Thanks to everyone who followed along with us on Twitter and Facebook! We’ll see you out on the golf course, hopefully soon, hopefully in your PGA Championship gear!
