Bayer names four new area sales managers

Environmental Science, a business unit within the Crop Science division of Bayer, has made four staffing appointments within its turf & ornamentals business:

  • Clay Breazeale, area sales manager for North Carolina and South Carolina
  • Eric Skorich, area sales manager for Ohio, Kentucky and Southern Indiana
  • Cameron Smith, area sales manager for southern California, Arizona and Nevada
  • Eric Snelsire, area sales manager for Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and West Virginia

“The Bayer mission of Science For A Better Life means we are constantly working to develop innovative solutions and cutting-edge services for the customers we serve,” says Jose Milan, head of the Bayer Turf and Ornamentals business, in a press release. “We could not be more thrilled to welcome these talented individuals dedicated to helping us fulfill that promise.”

New appointments include:

Clay Breazeale joins Bayer as an area sales manager for the Carolinas. In his new role, Breazeale will manage customer and distributor relationships for Bayer in the Golf and Lawn & Landscape markets. Breazeale is a class A member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in turfgrass science with a horticulture minor from the University of Florida. He most recently served as assistant director of golf course maintenance and operations at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Eric Skorich joins Bayer as an area sales manager for Ohio, Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Skorich — based in Columbus, Ohio — will manage customer and distributor relationships for Bayer in the Golf and Lawn & Landscape markets. Skorich most recently worked with Heritage Golf Club in Hilliard, Ohio, where he has served as superintendent since 2012. Skorich holds a Bachelor of Science in agronomy from Ohio State University.

Cameron Smith joins Bayer as an area sales manager for southern California, Arizona and Nevada. In his new role, Smith will manage customer and distributor relationships for Bayer in the Golf and Lawn & Landscape markets. Smith brings a strong foundation of industry experience, having served as a distributor sales representative and assistant golf course superintendent in the southern California area for the past eight years. Smith most recently served as a territory manager for Crop Production Services in Oxnard, Calif.

Eric Snelsire joins Bayer as an area sales manager for Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and West Virginia. Based in Maryland, Snelsire will manage customer and distributor relationships for Bayer in the Golf and Lawn & Landscape markets. Snelsire has a wealth of industry experience, having served as superintendent at Glen Riddle Golf Course in Maryland since 2006. Snelsire holds a Bachelor degree in turfgrass science from Penn State University.
