Assoufid GC: Marrakesh, Morocco

By |  November 10, 2014 0 Comments

Assoufid Golf Club opened on Oct. 1 near the “Red City” of Marrakesh, Morocco.

The desert-style 7,042-yard, par-72 golf course is set against the backdrop of North Africa’s snow-capped Atlas Mountains. It has international-standard dining and is a debut design for Scottish PGA professional and former European Tour player Niall Cameron.

The eco-friendly course was designed to be integrated into the existing landscape and to encourage the site’s indigenous flora and fauna to thrive while minimizing water consumption.

“Our objective is to provide the finest golfing experience by delivering a beautifully maintained golf course and exceptional levels of service whilst protecting the integrity of the indigenous natural landscape,” says Guy Maxwell, golf director at Assoufid GC. “Already, feedback from visiting local and international golfers has been overwhelmingly positive.”

Assoufid GC is now accepting membership applications.
